Although the materials are durable, basic care will prolong their life. For tropical hardwoods, apply a protective oil (teak or linseed) once or twice a year to nourish the grain and maintain the color. Aluminum and polypropylene furniture can be easily cleaned with water and mild soap. In winter or during extended periods of disuse, it is highly recommended to use breathable protective covers or store the furniture indoors to protect it from frost and stubborn dirt.
Aluminum and UV-treated polypropylene are the most resistant to sun damage. Wood develops a natural grayish patina if left untreated, which is aesthetically pleasing but requires hydration.
Most are water-repellent (hydrophobic) and withstand dew or light rain, but it is recommended to store them in case of constant torrential rain to prevent the filling from becoming soaked.
Use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment for dust and a damp cloth with mild soap for stains. Avoid rubbing aggressively to prevent fraying the fibers.
Our aluminum furniture does not rust. Steel or iron furniture has treatments (galvanizing, epoxy paint) that delay corrosion, but requires inspection if the protective paint is scratched.
