Eirsen cotton placemat

At tables that are truly memorable, there is an unwritten rule: each person’s space begins before the food. The Eirsen cotton placemat draws that invisible boundary that turns any spot into your spot. When placed, the character of the fabric is evident, a firm-bodied cotton that lies flat and still.

It is defined by the yarn-dyed fabric, a technique where the thread is dyed before weaving, so the color is incorporated into the fiber—a key quality in a piece that gets stained, washed, and returned to the table constantly. Framing the entire surface is its signature: that fine stitched cutwork running parallel to the edge, drawing a delicate frame around the plate. It’s not just decoration: it reinforces the outline to withstand everyday use and provides that carefully crafted finish that is noticeable at first glance.

And so, place by place, the table is dressed without needing to cover it entirely. Each diner receives their frame, their properly placed plate, their small portion of the table cared for in detail.

For proper care, we recommend machine washing at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C on a gentle cycle, ironing at medium temperature, no dry cleaning, and avoiding tumble drying or bleach.
