Left corner module with armrest for modular sofa in vacuum-packed chenille Merida
The Merida left-hand corner module with armrest for modular sofa in chenilla, vacuum packed seems to arise from the impossible desire to turn a cloud into architecture: a fragment of sky that has adopted an earthly form without giving up its weightless essence. Vacuum packed, like a compressed cumulus releasing itself from the packaging to regain its volume, it outlines itself on a silhouette of generous, rounded curves. The upholstery in 100% polyester with a sweet chenilla finish wrapping around it distils a touch that connects the skin to rest. A cloud-like aesthetic dominates, thanks to the plush, deep, and enveloping seat made of polyurethane foam filling with a density of 35 kg/m³ and a soft firmness offering a progressive sink-in effect. We propose a furniture model that highlights the identity of its components and materials; the backrest extends that cottony embrace feeling, while the ultra-rounded armrest acts not only as a support, but as an extension of its enveloping lines. The lumbar cushion, filled with polyurethane foam and polypropylene fibres, adds extra comfort and practicality thanks to its removable and washable cover. Merida can inhabit the space as a solitary cloud or connect to other modules via fastening straps to form constellations of comfort. Additionally, it includes non-slip strips at the base to ensure a firm and stable placement. Sitting on it means experiencing the dissolution of matter: the body does not sit, it floats; the living room is not occupied, it transforms into a small firmament where the celestial takes the form of palpable comfort.
As this is a product with compressed packaging, we recommend letting it rest for approximately 72 hours for its materials to expand and fully acquire their final shape. After this time, the upholstery may display some wrinkles. To remove them, we advise applying a little steam, protecting the fabric with a towel. For proper maintenance, we recommend cleaning with a damp cloth, avoiding the use of chemical products.
